We are seeking to recruit a Project Manager to lead an ambitious team to deliver the BBO promoting Digital Inclusion in Lancashire, called ReachIT.

Big Lottery Fund is matching funds from the European Social Fund (ESF) 2014-2020 to invest in local projects tackling the root causes of poverty, promoting social inclusion and driving local jobs and growth.

The Workers’ Educational Association [WEA] is an educational charity delivering responsive, relevant and accessible programmes of learning across England and Scotland. Through our vision of employability, health and wellbeing, community engagement and cultural studies, we raise the educational aspirations of local communities.

ReachIT - Digital Inclusion Project

We are seeking to recruit a Project Manager to lead an ambitious team to deliver the BBO programme promoting Digital Inclusion in Lancashire, called ReachIT. Between now and the end of 2019 we will be reaching out through a network of 45 delivery partners and a cohort of 300 specially trained Digital Champions to help at least 2216 adults across the county who currently cannot get into jobs or training through lack of IT skills.

Project Manager Role

You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a core staff team to drive forward delivery using our agreed core model and approach; ensuring that delivery partners are clear on their responsibilities; actively engaging strategic partners such as the LEP and County Council, and making the work of the project known to the wider community.

You will be responsible for ensuring completion of all funders’ evidence requirements including impact measurement, collation of data and evidence to support final evaluation, and organising Board and Partnership meetings.

You will be working closely with a range of stakeholders such as Local Authority staff, voluntary & community organisations, service providers, employers, equalities advocates and other WEA staff. You will be expected to represent the WEA and promote both the Association and the value of adult education in relevant contexts.

We offer generous terms and conditions including 30 days holiday (plus bank holidays), pension scheme – subject to eligibility. Please note holiday entitlement, including bank holidays is pro rata for part time posts.
